Fotografiska is one of the worlds most prestigious photography musea, with branches in Stockholm, Tallinn and New York. The Swedish museum was not forced to shut down, but economically it didn’t make sense to remain open. The museum reopened today.
I think for the first time it made me feel both happy and a little emotional: being surrounded by the arts again, realizing how relaxed it is to be in Sweden now for nearly a month during the crisis, looking at someone giving the same press interviews I did myself when working for World Press Photo and actually knowing some of the photographers on display in person.
All in all – a very contemplative afternoon ❤️☺️🇸🇪
